UNIVERSAL 5 PRESS RELEASE

Illinois-based Blackhawk Molding Co., Inc., announced the introduction of its NEW Universal 5 (U-5) 55mm large volume bottle closure.  This revolutionary cap was designed to accommodate virtually any cooler probe used in the bottle water market.  The U-5 cap avoids breaking probes; and allows for a wide variety of probe specifications.  The U-5 capped bottle may be presented to the cooler from a variety of angles without damaging the probe.

The cap incorporates a foam flap that is cut by the probe upon insertion.  When the bottle is removed from the cooler the cap naturally closes for cleanliness; and a modicum of resealing.  There is no inner cap; so “floaters” are eliminated.

The U-5 may be used in combination with Blackhawk’s patented “Fluted Probe.” The Fluted Probe is designed to completely evacuate water from the package.  The function is not duplicated by most other no-spill caps.
